How I have Changed Since Freshman Year
My freshman year I walked into Reitz high school as a scared young boy who did know if he was going to be able to handle it. That first time I walked into the building as a student I looked as if I was a scared child who just wanted their mother. Going from a small middle school to such a big high school was a scary thing and my first thought was that I was going to get lost. Stepping into Reitz for my very first time seemed like an opening to something so new.
Once the year got to go it was not that scary and it seemed as if it was going to be a great year for me. My teachers were all really nice and helped me out through the year a lot. Also I really enjoyed being in high school now because I was able to do so much more now and I was able to take on a lot more responsibilities. It was if I wasn’t being watched for my every move like I was in middle school. I was able to be trusted more and able to take on things myself, without the guidance of a teacher.
Since then I am now a senior at Reitz High school and I have honestly grown so much since that time. I walked into this school as if I was a lost puppy and now I walk around as if I own the school. High school has helped me grow into the young man that I am today. They say that high school is one of the most important times of your life, and to completely honest, it really is. In the four years that I have been attending here, I feel like I have grown more now, then I have from the rest of my life.
In these four years I have gone through so many changes, dealt with so many problems, and also took on so many different responsibilities. Since I have been in high school I have been able to get my license, find a job and work a lot, do great in school and most of all made myself grow into the person I am today. High school is a time of your life where you will learn so much and deal with many different obstacles that may make you want to just give up, but if you stick to it and do your best you will be happy with the way things turn out.
The one thing that I notice the most about me since my freshman year is the way I act and talk to people today. Since that time I have grown so much and have been able to turn into a mature adult. I have taken on many responsibilities and been able to make things turn out successful. Whenever I look back I wonder if I would ever change anything that I did, but honestly whenever I really think about it I wouldn’t want to change anything because what I have done is what has made me into the person that I am today.
